THERES NO SHAME IN THE HUSTLE!

I have been working in the industry now for well over a decade. I have worked in every which way available : I have worked in brothels, for escort agencies, private with other escorts, private on my own, incalls, outcalls, cities, rural, touring, home location - I’m not afraid to try new ways of being financially successful in this gig and have found the variety to not only be interesting and adventurous, but to teach me SO much.

It’s introduced me to different skills, different people, enabled me to work in different ways to honour different stages of my life and kept me financially afloat when I was in danger of sinking.

But what I have come across of late is what I can only think to call a personal snobbery to the Hustle.

Escorts almost embarrassed to work in any way other than the self perceived ‘High Class’ zone of dinners and stays in 5 star establishments, trips away to tropical destinations and expensive designer gifts from their clients.

Now, don’t hear me wrong - there is NO shade in working this way. I have myself and it’s amazing and wonderful. But if it’s no longer working for you, why does any other way feel like you’re being demoted to the lessor ranks of the escort world?

Firstly, lets be clear. REGARDLESS of what you charge and what you offer, we are all doing the same thing - getting laid for a buck! I say that with pride and so should we all. No one is better or worse and there is a place for every spectrum. Whether you like a wander down a red light district or choose to be online and exclusive - we are all doing the same job, just in different ways. It’s not a hierarchy.

But those who have put themselves in an exclusive market and are no longer making money, seem to have a judgement about themselves working any other way. Like they feel defeated, ashamed or not so glam any more.

Enter the Hustle.

I have been there many times myself, as has one of my best friends (QUEEN of the hustle and my Yoda!!!), and the beauty of this industry is that you can use it to get yourself out of any financial jam in the quickest of times if you’re willing to take advantage of everything it offers by not perceiving yourself above any of it.

What’s the shame in doing a short stint in a brothel? Sure, the work is harder in terms of volume, but what’s a bit of Hustle to get you out of the red into the black to relax? Not to mention you get a break from having to run your own bookings - just go in, do your work and leave. As well as the support and fun of having a team at work.

Where’s the embarrassment of touring the not so glamorous outskirts of big cities to the rural areas? Where the nicest hotel might be a 5 star MOTEL - but your clients are nice and there is money to be made.

Is it really so terrible that you make a new profile with lower rates and put it up in places you don’t normally work to get your mojo back? Doesn’t mean you can’t go back to the higher rates of before - just means you wont starve on the way back, and you can enjoy a whole new clientele who may have been priced out of your company before.

Why can’t you catch the much cheaper bus/train to tour instead of not going at all because you can’t afford the airfare? It’s actually more relaxing than the airport and you often have more space to spread out. You can still go on tour but with substantially less overheads.

There are so many way to diversify your work to make it work for you.

The Hustle is our friend.

It’s our safety net and can help you out of a jam if you let it. There is NO SHAME in working in different ways. NONE. Be open to it if you need to and don’t judge yourself for it - pat yourself on the back for being flexible, open to change and resilient enough to do what you need to to get your flow and confidence back. And ENJOY the adventure because it’s super fun if you let it be!

We should be so grateful our industry offers so many ways to do our job. It means when we are stuck in the mud for a time, we have the means to change it up and get ourselves out of it without having to outlay money or wait weeks on end just hoping for a booking to come in. Not to mention the knowledge we gain from working in different ways.

Use the tool this industry gives us - VARIETY.

Not only did you not sit back and do nothing, you utilised the flexibility this industry gifts us and made it work for you for however long you needed it to. Not to mention the new adventures, experiences and friends you meet along a new path.

And who knows, you might incorporate this new way of working on a more permanent basis to enjoy more variety.

Congratulations - you’re now officially part of the Hustle and a total bad ass!
